The Allie Esiri Poetry Corner is proud to present Damian Lewis and Helen McCrory reading a story based on the great love poems found in The Love Book, the anthology published by Random House, edited by Allie Esiri (more details on the book found on the homepage).
Best known for his outstanding, award-winning portrayal of Sgt Brody in TV’s Homeland, Damian Lewis is also an acclaimed theatre actor and excellent verse-speaker and will perform poems from Shelley to Larkin opposite his wife, Helen McCrory.
Helen McCrory, who has just garnered the reviews of her career playing Medea at The National Theatre, will read poems, split-screen style, telling the story of a love affair, through poetry, from infatuation right through to break-up and death.
The event is at Cheltenham Literature Festival on October 12th 2014 at 3pm.
Do come. We would love to see you there.
